The Boerne Parks and Recreation Department sponsor the Boerne Holiday Light Show. This event features 40 Old West buildings decked out with lights and Christmas displays. It's a great way to kick off the holiday season. This event is free to attend.

The Boerne Public Library's annual Holiday Tree Auction takes place on November 22. The event is a great opportunity to score a beautiful tree for your home. The proceeds benefit local organizations.

The Boerne Public Library also hosts a Movies in the Park event. This event is free and a great way to enjoy the warm weather while watching a holiday-themed film.

Boerne Escape Rooms

Boerne has its very own escape room, with three major themes, a Spooky Witch Cabin, A Mysterious Sasquatch Cave, and the coming soon Jolly Christmas Experience.

The games are all an hour long and fun for the whole family. Recommend ages 6+ for Sasquatch cave and Santa’s Helpers and age 8+ for Seasoning of the witch.

Boerne Escape rooms is open by appointment 9am-10pm so book online or call ahead to reserve your game. All games are private bookings for groups sized 2-10.

Boerne’s Dickens on Main

Those looking for group activities for the holidays in Boerne, Texas can head to Dickens on Main, a two-day holiday celebration. The event features ice sculpting shows, horse-drawn carriage rides, and live performances. The festivities are free and open to the public.

Dickens on Main takes place at the Hill Country Mile in Boerne, Texas. The event is hosted by the City of Boerne and the Boerne Business Alliance. The event will take place November 27 and 28. The event begins at 4 PM and will end at 10:30 PM.

Dickens on Main is a family-friendly holiday celebration that features live performances, shopping, and children's activities. It also includes horse-drawn carriage rides, ice-sculpting shows, and snow.

There will be a variety of food vendors on the street. Some vendors will accept cash or credit cards.

Weihnachts Weekend

The Weihnachts Parade is a beloved Christmas tradition in Boerne, dating back more than 30 years. Always on the first Saturday of December, the parade is held at night along historic and charming Main Street.

Up to 100 floats, bands, and other entries are lit up in the holiday cheer as they make their way from the Fire Station to the parade's end at River Road. Grab a chair and some blankets and pick out your space to take it all in.

Christmas Lights at the Crumbling Castle

Located in Comfort, TX, the Crumbling Castle is a mile long drive-thru light display that's a worthy addition to the holiday season calendar. It's open nightly from November 18 through January 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. With over a dozen trees and a few hundred lights, the lights at the castle are a must-see during the holiday season.

What's more, the light display is located in the heart of the Comfort city center, a short drive from downtown and from a variety of hotels and restaurants. It's not hard to see why the Crumbling Castle is a popular destination for visitors looking for the perfect place to unwind after a long day of shopping and eating. The lights are a big hit with locals as well as visitors from all over.

Music in the Cave - Winter Solstice

On December 17th Enjoy an eclectic concert of Holiday music celebrating the Winter Solstice, combining contemporary arrangements of traditional carols, soaring vocals, original acoustic music, and pulsing World-beat rhythms, performed on a mixture of ancient and modern instruments. Hear why this annual Solstice performance by Rudi and the Rudiments has consistently sold out for over 20 years.

Part of the concert will be performed in total darkness and flickering candlelight. It is an unforgettable experience, featuring the words and music of songwriter/performance artist Rudi Harst (vocals, guitar, flute, dulcimer, Tibetan bowls), accompanied by Ray Palmer (keyboard), Erik Finkelstein (bass), Kiko Guerrero (percussion), Dan Klein (trumpet, shofar), and special guest Oliver Steck (vocals, accordion).
